Managing Guest Permissions
As of Tripsy 3.5, we've made it so you can control the access each of your guests can see and change on a given trip.
This allows you to have much more control with what your added guests can change within the trip, or you can give them a view only invite - perfect for friends and family you're travelling with but who shouldn't be able to edit the trip.
Setting Guest Permissions
When adding a new guest to a trip, you'll be able to set permissions before you send the invite:

You can change guest permissions at any time, and for your favorite guests set to automatically be added to a trip you can customise their permissions before you save the trip.
To manage your guests' permissions, go to 'Manage Guests' from the trip's menu (three dots). If you haven't already added a guest, just choose 'Invite Guests' and you'll be able to choose the permissions you want for the guest in question.
If you already have guests on a trip, just tap their name to change their permissions - this will work on any existing trips, even those created before version 3.5
Collaborator or View Only
At the highest level, you can choose between two roles for your trip guests:
- Collaborator: Your guest will be able to add and edit activities within the trip, and you can choose if they can add or edit documents and expenses too.
- View Only: Your guests will only be able to view the trip and associated activities, and you can control if they can view documents or expenses for the trip.
Travelling Together?
As well as the guest permissions above, you also have the option to choose if a given guest (including yourself) is travelling as part of the trip. Turning this feature off or on for a guest determines how they see the trip.
If a guest has 'Travelling Together' turned on they'll see the trip under 'My Trips', whereas if this is turned off your trip wills how under 'Friends' Trips' and they won't get notifications about the trip.
